Lots to complain about, be angry about, little-to-no trust in government, "throw the bums out!" Sure, but as bad as it was, don't you miss the America before Trump?
Instead of throwing out the bums, seems Trump surrounded himself with new ones.
Instead of "draining the swamp," we simply got another swamp to contend with, wonder about.
A POTUS who instead of explaining why we needed a new health care plan, to cover people with previous conditions, we have a POTUS who explains what women will let you do to them under the right conditions.
Instead of a Noble Peace prize and a world impressed that America would actually elect a black POTUS, we get a wall that Mexico will pay for, and "thousands of Muslims" Trump said were cheering on 9/11.
We get the best health care plan ever, never seen. An international trade war and now China cozying up with Russia.
Instead of Michelle, we get hanky panky with porn stars and Playboy bunnies and even better, hush money paid in the $100 thousands to keep them quiet.
Not that any of this should have us wonder what else needs to be hushed...
Right, but what about the economy and our 401Ks?
I knew I shouldn't have started this thread, but I do surely miss the good old days before Trump started making America great again...
Which of these highly salient points should I address first?
Regardless of the political party we belong to, let's face a stark reality, and that is, ALL OF OUR OPINIONS ARE BASED ON WHAT WE HEAR, OR SEE IN THE MEDIA.
How bout for once we actually look at our own personal situations, and see how well off, or disenfranchised we are, compared to other times in our lives.
A few questions to better help you decide.
One needs to be honest with themselves when answering these questions, and not let politics get in the way of decision making.
Are you making more money now, than you were a few years ago?
Are you paying less taxes than in other times?
Are you able to better support yourselves, and your family, than in the past?
Do you feel the government(federal, state) are eating up more of your finances on things that should be used for other things?
Do you feel you are taking a back seat to special interest?
Is your #401 in a better position than it was a few years ago?
How about your investments?
Are they better off today, than a few years ago?
Are you finding you can put a little more money aside that in previous years was just about impossible?
The final questions being, are you better off morally than you were a few years ago, or has your thinking been totally corrupted, and influenced by the media?
Are you able to decide for yourselves, based on your answers to the questions given here, or do you expect the media is telling you honestly, the way things are.
These are some hard facts to consider beyond what we hear, and see from the media.

For instance, tariffs are taxes. If your income tax is lowered, but 200 billion in tariffs are implemented next week, did you really get a tax decrease?
Also, if I get a short term tax break that causes trillion dollar deficits, higher interest rates and more debt, could it be that I will be paying more for it down the road? We all said under Clinton and Bush, how great Alan Greenspans policies were because everyone was making money. Well, turns out they were irresponsible and caused the financial crisis. I might ask you to start thinking for yourself and not so much to the media you are choosing
I miss the America before smartphones and social media. They have turned us into idiots.

I can remember the vivid nights of the late 80's, cruising the downtowns of small to medium size towns, with the great muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's. People passing each other in opposite directions yelling " Party at so and so's house" and then loads of people showing up, socializing, and having tons of fun. Who needed a phone back then.
Kids back then were outside all the time....and instead of an Iphone, the prize possession was a Mustang, Charger, Camaro or Chevelle.
I would never trade what I had back then for what kids have now.

Trump is a reality star and a ******. Do you really think he loves our country more then he loves himself. There is a reason why he is unable to bring our country together. He only goes to places where he gets applause because that’s what he wants the most. He needs his ego stroked.
Presidential election results have been extremely close, even contested (Bush-Gore, Trump-Clinton), for decades.
To conclude that Trump divided this country requires that one have no knowledge of past elections, polls on the subject, the Tea Party movement and high presidential disapproval ratings over long periods of time (Bush, Obama, Trump).
Had Clinton won, she would be at least as unpopular as Trump because the country is divided.

NO.
None of us are fortune tellers, and the questions were meant for the present.
No one knows what is ahead in the "long term".
By your response, you appear to be a democrat that still can't face the obvious, that you are more than likely better off than during the Obama administration, but won't admit it even to yourself.
