I did watch the video. He looks around to see if people are watching or something, then he really does the OK sign. It's there. It could be an actual OK, but still wouldn't make sense when the report was about a dead baby. It's not just scratching his face. He sorta pretended to for a second, but then forms his hand into the OK sign.

The military does not succumb to popular opinion.
If he was disciplined, they had a justifiable reason to do so, one that will be entered into this guy's service record.
He went to go rest his face on his hand then scratched it . I doubt he thought.

so is the ok sign an actual white power sign or just something some liberal came up with during the Kavanagh hearing when a woman who is have Jewish and half Mexican was seen on camera?
It's another 4chan hoax meant to expose the left's insanity and hypocrisy, just like the "It's OK to be White" flyers.

So it started out as a "joke" now the left has conformed it into a "white supremacist symbol" although it objectively is not one.
