People who are afraid of young black men must not routinely deal with young black men. Where I am from, this question sounds ridiculous.
In some cases, some people who are afraid of Black men have dealt with them. Even so, I don't see a good reason for it. Yes, I am aware of a higher proportion of crime among African-Americans. What alot of people fail to know is that most of that crime is directed at other African-Americans. There are still questions to be asked such as: What is the point in being afraid of Black men in general?
How does one's fear of Black men help the Black men who aren't thugs or criminals?(this question usually never gets any answers).
What is the point of lumping someone in the same stereotypical box as other people?
Are you aware of the unintended accusations you will impose on a person who does not deserve it?
If I'm walking in a relatively poor area on my own at night and a bunch of gansta wannabes are loitering and staring at me when I pass by them, I will feel uneasy.
If you're afraid of a black guy whose in a suit and tie in a corporate setting, I don't know what to tell you. We're all afraid of the ones that run around in the thug uniform. Just like we should all be afraid of the white guys running around in the punk/goth attire...they might slit your wrists, then theirs.

They could save alot of time if they just did their own. More economical that way.
