rubbish. amazon gives small businesses a much greater access to markets that they would not otherwise have access to. for instance a small video company in north carolina without amazon present would not have access to the southern arizona or california markets. with amazon though they have access to those and many other markets.

amazon does indeed help small business in this country, they dont put businesses out of business.

Controlling market distribution doesn’t make Amazon a positive force, it makes it the authority.

Just because the authority allows others to access markets (which they charge and later steal from) doesn’t make them good. If these authorities didn’t exist in the first place, these companies would all have a share in market access (with the internet) rather than it being managed by one company for the interests of a few people.

There are lots of options for small companies to sell online Amazon is simply one of them. If one does not want to deal with Amazon there is eBay, Etsy, Mercuri, Craigslist and several other options including creating your own web presence. No one is forced to deal with Amazon. Amazon does not have a monopoly. In fact the alternatives to Amazon are growing.

What exactly is Amazon stealing?

Watch the video, as Amazon uses its control of capital and distortion of the markets to gain consumers, other sites are directly ignored.

And for stealing, Amazon lures in the competition (because they need the market access) and then copies their best selling products and sells them for a cheaper price to push that smaller company into bankruptcy or merger with Amazon.

What you are saying is simply not true.

Amazon has managed to put smaller competitors out of the market through cut prices and loss leaders but then again big corporations and supermarkets do that all the time.

The difference with on-line companies has been a lack of accountability and they have used loopholes to exploit tax laws however this may be about to come to an end with a number of countries currently planning future direct taxes on internet transactions and sales in relation to companies such as Amazon.

The other major hurdle for Amazon is expanding it's business and taking on retail giants such as Walmart which are very different to putting small retailers out of business and can hit back, and more and more companies are actually working together or merging to take on Amazon. In the UK the bulk of home grocery deliveries are already carried out by the large supermarket chains and the fact they are now working together means a very competitive market place.

British Supermareket Chain Tesco is now forming a strategic partnership with France's Carrefour, whilst Sainsbury's another British Chain is doing the same in relation to Walmart owned Asda, and other chains are doing the same, so many of the giants of retail are teaming up to do battle with Amazon, as well as Lidl and Aldi.

You also have companies such as Netflix in the entertainment sector and other giant companies indeed in the UK the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 are in talks to create a new streaming service to help take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon, whilst Walmart and others are looking in to breaking in to the video-streaming market.

It also should be noted that monopolies commissions and anti-trust laws will eventually become an issue if companies get too big, although there are currently some very big takeover tussles including the battle for Sky Broadcasting between Fox and Comcast, whilst Coca Cola recently entered in to the Coffee market by acquiring the UK's largest coffee retailer Costa.

Amazon will have to decide very carefully as to its' expansion plans, for three reasons firstly it may yet be hit with a lot of new taxes, secondly the competitors it is taken on now are much bigger and have alligned themselves together to make themselves even stronger whilst the grocery market in many parts of the world is very competitive and thirdly monopolies and mergers and anti-trust may limit what they can do, as is envitable the case in relation to most vast companies, whilst new on-line companies may emerge.

Finally it's worth noting that pther on-line retailers and entertainment services are growing more quickly than even Amzon, which is in in theiteenth place in terms of growth.

Amazon has about 6 distribution centers in my area, due to our airport being a hub, but every one of them has extremely high employee turnover, they have a real problem with people getting hired and then quitting within their first week!

This really speaks volumes about what kind of company Amazon is...if they were truly that great of an employer to work for, it would be tough to get a job there, not the opposite.

That's nothing but Europeans trying to shut out an American company.

Incorrect.

Amazon built and operates the largest Internet cloud system in the world. It provides for massive numbers of high tech jobs both direct and indirect.

Netflix, for example, runs on it.
