I would be impressed if he had a high turnout in, say, any of the large metro areas of California or New York. In going to the South it's like Olivia Munn standing naked on a street corner. Both are going to draw large crowds.
So you say who is polled and how is polled doesn't matter. Only that Trump is 40% which is to your liking. This is why you say it must be true. But I get that you are worried about the masses of people at the rally given that it must be predictive of true popularity. Else you wouldn't be trying prove there weren't many there.

Feel free to disprove the rally, any way you like. Photos & video don't lie. Trump detractors have been trying to do that for 3 years. Did they get a surprise on Nov. 8th too. We found out the rallies are hugely predictive of Trump's support. They were hugely predictive of Hillary's too.
