Or maybe there is nothing gourmet about a hoagie/sub sandwich.

No ma’am, I’ll take my business elsewhere. You’re not even going to get one single dollar out of my wallet if I can help it.

But you were probably fine voting for Hillary, a con woman (remember white water) with a rapist husband and whose foundation seemed to have a pay for play system with foreign governments.

I did not vote for either Trump nor Clinton so at least I am not a hypocrite like those who did.

Regarding the hair stylist. Why not just cut hair and not get political? Same could be said for all the celebrities who can't shut up.

If it was me and a hair stylist got into politics regardless of left or right politically I would cut them off mid sentence and demand just cut my hair please. I would not tip them and never return. And I would post on yelp what they did. That should make things interesting for them.

That's stealing.

Do you also refuse to pay for stuff and walk out of stores with it in your hands?

I guess its not stealing if you are making a political point. Like looters who are upset about a police shooting who loot and torch businesses.

Seriously however the stylist should have called the cops. It is similar to a dine and dash. This would be a clip and slip.

If your at odds with your community that much then where do you get your groceries and essentials? I live in a very red area (of course I am in line with that thinking) Have you ever thought of moving? Don’t want to find yourself on the wrong side when war eventually comes. As hateful as everyone is about politics and values these days it seems we are on a short path to civil war. The election of 2020 could really set it off. If the hippies win and try to actually restrict our bill of rights freedoms and impose socialism you realize red state America will not comply don’t you? There will never be a peaceful gun hand in or a peaceful redistribution of wealth. It’s not happening, millions of us will fight before we concede to those types of things.

Economics-decision making for the hair stylist is to never have brought up politics; Just as the client should NEVER talk about politics while in the chair, because you are in the Chair without seeing the actual cut.

But once the stylist brings up politics, the Best outcome to the stylist is for the client to get up and leave and do so without paying.

Fun thru the option/matrix
So what do you think about tuna casserole?

I've heard mushroom sales are declining fast after portions of Daniels books were quoted.

The Prez is going to lose support in Kennet Sq, PA (Mushroom capital)...

All kidding aside, my career was in a business that POTUS's often destroyed. I fought hard and made it a success. It's called adaption or pivoting or whatever the term of the day is, but it can easily be done....

I started selling woodstoves in 1979 after the embargoes and right about the time of 3 mile island. Carter was ALL FOR alt energy. I also started selling central heat (efficient) and even Solar Panels (DHW).

Reagan got in and, like Trump, said there was nothing to worry about. Oil was a buck a gallon...gas also. Harder to sell wood or coal heating when oil is cheaper. Yet we staying in biz and expanded a number of times and the store is still there.

Whoever said it's a PR play and excuse .....you got it.

I've seen expansion kill more small businesses than growing more success. The food business is particularly prone to this danger.

It's far better for a small fast food business oftentimes to stay small, bursting at the seams with customers, burning out one employee after another from overwork, than it is to open another shop. Once the second shop is open, it drains the customers from the first first, but may not attract more new customers.

Oldest thing in the world in the food business. A crowded joint is a popular joint.
People like to try a new place that's crowded; if someone else thinks the food is so good to put up with the crowd , then it must be really good food.
Agreed.

Seventeen(!) is a crazy high number.
I'd love to see any feasibility study that suggested that they could sustain that many shops in the first place.
