Unfortunately this bill does nothing to solve the H1B problem in the tech sector. One more check box for the diploma mills in Mumbai to fill out.
It's so disgusting watching the GOP kill off good paying American jobs, all the while they make lots of noise about DACA. Trumpers how does it feel to get played like a fiddle?
Trump could be responsible for importing millions of foreign tech workers!
It wont increase wages. It will however cause more and more Americans to not choose to enter into STEM jobs as the cost of the education won't match up to the suppressed wages due to a oversupply of foreign talent.
Especially at a time when we are so unwelcoming to letting foreigners live here as citizens. Horrible plan.

So much for that campaign promise.
Indians have pretty much taken over the whole IT industry already, and now Trump is importing more.....
Looks like it also allows the family members to work in US once one family member gets his/her foot in the door.
Sounds like the 'bullet of mercy' to the cornered US software engineers.
Its just another stupid bill, like the OP 's 1 post. Will get lost in the mountain of bills that remain unacted upon. The reality now is any form of immigration, be it legal or illegal , is dealt with as how they were supposed to be dealt - as per the Law & Fairly.
orrin hatch is like lindsay graham, totally out of touch with the the republican party has become. Orrin hatch is like Mitch mcconnell , he has spent most of his adult life in washongton . These guys are so out of touch
Trump wants to reduce the number of guest workers.

Hatch, who is the No. 2 ranking senator in the GOP-controlled chamber, was joined by co-sponsors Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Chris Coons (D-Del.), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) in backing the legislation.

Klobuchar had introduced legislation in January meant to increase the number of "H-1B visas" available to high skilled immigrants. The legislation was meant to try matching the massive demand for them: The government issued 85,000 such three-year visas earlier this month but received 124,000 applications for them.
But you are okay with foreigners dumping products in the US and taking jobs and shutting down entire industries?
All of a sudden liberals want less visas for foreigners? I can't keep track of liberals' flip flops on issues.
Dont get too confused. Many liberals are anti-immigration, we're not some faceless horde that all thinks alike.
