Being surrounded by a dozen agitated people not just chanting (but nice try with the lie), is indeed threatening.
I read the Wapo article on the event including the warning one guy made to the other patrons and the other things that were said and so forth....again, you're helping Ted Cruz.
Those idiots may have just given him the margin to beat Beto.
You guys are bigger enemies to Democrats regaining the house than the republicans.
I don't much care for creepy Cruz but I agree with you here.
Its alright...their behavior just reinforces my vote for Cruz in the early Texas election next month.
The ironic thing is, the Democrats would have everyone believe that this, an other types of despicable behavior, are what they have to fear from Republicans. The dems live in opposite land.
Exactly. Chanting slogans doesn't seem all that threatening, except it does threaten your peaceful meal at the upscale restaurant.
A poster referred to these people as an angry mob...obviously it was a gross exaggeration. It also happened on Cruz's way out, not during his meal, according to the way it was reported.

There needs to be some sort of penalty. ATM I cannot think of a charge other than disorderly but that will not suffice.
trespassing, incitement to riot, plus what ever else a cop can throw on legally.

well considering that cops are indeed paid to enforce the laws, then you bet, if you violate the law then you should have a uniformed individual come along and provide a set of chrome bracelets for you to wear while you are checked into your suite at the hotel greybar.

You're actually scoring points for the Republicans with these types of actions, there are just much better ways to win hearts and minds than acting like a mob of d-bags.
yes cruz is a public figure, but that doesnt mean that people who oppose him can just walk up to him and harass him at will, while violating the laws.
What kind of imbecile would condone this idiotic behavior? Oh wait, you've already answered that.
