Why do TV news media types have so much trouble with Rod Rosenstein's first name? They call him Rob or Ron, frequently. It can be TV news show guests or hosts making this annoying mistake. When there is a panel of guests it isn't uncommon for them to call him 3 different first names. Even print or web journalists make this mistake.

With this one, they call him Rob and Rod in the same piece.

It's a three letter name and it's not hard to pronounce. And as far as web stories go, where the heck are the editors? Still, it's much worse on TV.

The obvious reason is they don't know what they are talking about to begin with. Any name will do. Its mostly the same story and a new name is inserted for each news cycle continuing the same narrative.

The name isn't taken seriously b/c the name will be changed to protect the innocent. That used to be the disclaimer. Now its fumble the name and that's close enough.

I've only heard them say Rod.

Look when you are on the hour for some 30 hrs, a week -- mistakes will be made. I guess Rod is a hard name to fall off the tongue -- maybe Rob & Ron come out easier.

It’s always been Rod when I’ve heard his first name pronounced in the media but there’s a lot of media outfits out there.

He won’t be in the news much longer, problem solved.

No, Trump has put that on hold until after this Kavanaugh thing plays out. As stupid as Trump is, he will be shooting himself in the foot again when he does get rid of Rosenstein. But we all know, Trump is not the sharpest tool in the box.

That may be why Trump was elected. The tools on the left were simply not sharp enough. They were crooked enough but very dull.
