Once again, "the so-called Fascists of WW2 (Germany, Italy, and Spain)" were, and always will have been, right-wing dictatorships; "Oppos[ing] traditional authority" isn't inherent to just one side of the political spectrum.

The operative words here are "the educated world". As we all know, Trump and his supporters do not inhabit this realm. That's why they continually push the idea that the Nazis were left wing. Anyone with an ounce of historical knowledge or rational thought knows this to be inaccurate. The Nazis persecuted socialists and communists. Their concentration camps were full of them.
The Nazis were ultra nationalists who saw themselves as superior to most other races. Does that sound familiar? It should because you need to look no further than the modern neo-Nazi and white nationalist movement for proof. Trump has now positioned himself as their leader.
In all honesty, though, I believe these people KNOW that the Nazis were right wing but a vast majority of the rest of the nation despise Nazis and everything they stood for. If they start associating them with the modern right wing then they are f***ed for generations. So, they try with all their might to push that stench onto the left but it never works. Those who actually study history are pretty effective at shutting them down when they start that. I've seen it happen hundreds of times here on this forum alone.

This person has obviously never studied the history of who the Nazis were and how they came to power, let alone who populated their concentration camps. It wasn't just Jews. He is either genuinely ignorant of the truth or aware of it and trying to hide it for his right wing ideology. I strongly suspect the latter.

he is actually advocating activists going into private citizen's homes "where they sleep", where their children sleep, and threatening private citizens at their jobs for being republican. the irony is he says intimidating political foes will save our democracy. isn't silencing political foes by force called fascism by definition?

After reading many of his posts, I strongly suspect the former. To the uneducated, every "ism" is BAD and liberals are guilty of every one of them. Even though one "ism" contradicts another "ism" those big bad liberals somehow managed to be all of them at once anyway. Posters like that truly believe that wholeheartedly.
Trump knew what he was saying when he said he loved the uneducated.
What a joke, I've seen so many Republicans with their "second amendment" rhetoric plan armed insurrections, I've lost count.
The whole "Don't Tread on Me" flags, standing around with guns at protests, Prepper forums, armed takeovers of Malheur Wildlife Refuge - not planning, they actually did it. Don't forget Charleston either, and Trump called them good people.
