But all signs point to Ford being extremely naive that the Trump Republican Administration gives a scrap about her believing in her civic duty. She didn't tell them anything they didn't already know.
They didn't independently ask her questions to demonstrate their contempt for her.

what? you are just a troll. Go read Mitchell's questions and her report. Even the FBI can't find 1 person that can back up her story and this is somehow Trump's fault?

He could try. But not sure that would work out well for him......

The FBI and the Senate didn't speak to the number of witnesses who have confirmed the kind of behavior implied by Ford's allegations.

A civil suit would mean all of that would be entered as evidence. And reality -- so far -- for every college chum who has supported Kavanaugh, there's more that claim he was that drunken, belligerent guy. And Mark Judge's books, essays and confessions of debauchery sure do suggest that kind of stuff was common in high school.

The more they look, the more they find.

God, I hope he does! I would so enjoy watching him in a real court, being cross-examined by real lawyers where his little hissy fits wouldn't fly.

Which is precisely why he will never do it. He's a scumbag, but he's not a stupid scumbag. He'll take his gift of the SC seat and be done with it.

I hope to God the Democrats aren't done with it, though.

Both Kavanaugh and his wife come from affluent families. If one of my kids needed a payoff of debt to become a Supreme Court justice, and it was within my ability to provide it, I would.

I don't think it was a coincidence Ford's story lacked key details. It was pretty much impossible to prove or disprove it from the start. A lawsuit would be rather pointless, and would give her that much more time on a soapbox.

Holy crap, how many of these threads do we need? There is already at least one discussion about how allegedly false accusations should be handled.

I wonder how long her (Blasey) marriage will last now that she has humiliated her entire family, their safety and her LIES that never stop. I bet you $5 bucks there is a Blasey-Ford divorce on the horizon.

I don't wish that (divorce) on anyone but this woman was a one man wrecking crew destroying her families life and attempting to destroy Judge K's life.

I still say she is mentally disturbed and we will not hear the last of her... because I think she enjoys all this media attention.
She is obviously emotionally impacted by the incident back in high school and I'm sure the events of the last few weeks are upsetting.

But I don't find her anymore unstable than Kavanaugh appeared the last time we saw him in public.

I watched him lie under oath. That's pretty much all one needs to know in this case.
