Porn has been around for centuries. The word pornography itself was coined in 1857. If the link you shared has more detail to further explain what you just stated, I cant tell since it only shows an abstract.

The first known hardcore porn movie was in 1908, the first softcore was 1899.

I wonder how much influence the fact of increasing access to video period factors into this all.

I may think I aren't what? If you mean attacking women's sexuality? No, I'm not. As stated, porn in it's various forms have existed from as soon as humans could find a drawing instrument. It creates a state of heightened sexuality and is enjoyed by men, women, couples... Nothing about it's existence is inherently negative toward women. It can be made to be so, but that would be a creative choice.
