When someone is duty bound by protocol to attend a Trump speech and needs to be properly anesticised to make the experience bearable, it’s understandable.

If I may step in here -- as a person well acquainted with alcohol --- Kavanaugh's heavy drinking was while he was in HIGH SCHOOL and COLLEGE. That's a long time ago!
Honestly I don't care much about Kavanaugh drinking beyond the conversation that it may have contributed to his other actions-including the possibility that he doesn't remember them....... But I care a GREAT deal about him lying about it. One is just overindulging while young-no big deal. But the lying is a insight into a deeply flawed character.
When did being a liar become a positive character trait?
