California has a whopping 10.3% income tax, 10.25% sales tax in some areas plus massive property tax bills and they want to repeal proposition 13 so that senior-citizens homes are confiscated and they either have to sell and move to another state away from family and friends or on to the streets.
Amazing how they have European-level taxes and have third-world conditions for the masses.
