Why aren't politicians or the media outraged about the modern slavery, the sex slave trade? They claim they fight for women or is that just BS for political points? Modern slavery, the abuse and rape of young women and yes young boys is a serious problem that is being ignored while accusations of abuse and then conviction without evidence is used against political opponents.
I suspect these type of post will be ignored because the media isn't covering it and no one has talking points to parrot. Or is it some of you now realize you are guilty of assault on women.
"A 2010 survey shows 59% of adult women in Alaska experience intimate partner violence, including threats, and/or sexual assault. And 37% suffer from rape or sexual violence."
So a good portion of this is from their intimate partner.
I really wish they would separate these out in the stats. While the actual crime is technically the same, the factors are completely different, sort of like a hate crime versus non-hate crime, or domestic violence versus just violence.
I think it is disingenuous to group together rapes by strangers or some acquaintance, with those by a husband or intimate partner, who they had multiple consensual encounters before or even after.
Assaults against women is a real problem. Although as a conservative women I understand why women who have been assaulted or know we are easier targets are angry but I am against them trying to make BK pay for an assault they may have suffered at the hands of someone else. Otherwise they do have a legitimate point.
Making it worse listen to the rap music lyrics where they sing about disrespecting and treating women bad. There are assaults on women in movies, in pornography, even in games. Yet the left held up a stripper as a hero. If the left really wants to do something about assaults on women maybe they (and we) should protest the constant portrayal of it.
If you wonder why women are so mad, read about some of our thoughts and actions taken daily for our safety below. We always have to be aware where men don't typically think about it like we have to.
Oh please.
I'm a woman and I don't think about any of those things on the "list".
Sex slavery in the US is a very real threat for women in the US. According to FBI estimates, over 100,000 children and young women are sold into the American sex trade every year.
Women in pornography are often sex slaves. If you watch porn you may be watching a young girl being raped. If your a John, you may be raping a sex slave. In both cases you are taking part in this enslavement and assault against women. Most naively and unknowingly.
and some wonder why prostitution is illegal in most areas of the country.
the list has two conflicting statements about "eye contact".
One is never make eye contact with men on the street and the other is make assertive eye contact with men on the street.
WTF?
Maybe it means never give eye contact to a nice looking man who is not attractive enough, and make assertive eye contact with a mean looking man who is not attractive enough. Or do I have it backwards?

I used common sense...even before I carried.
For real, one, often a male victim, is 10x more likely to be violently physically assaulted or robbed than to be raped. Like I've said, sure females do carry a higher burden of sexual assault, but it's really not that common and as compensation they have sexual privileges of a Rockstar. Feminists complain too much.
I believe Men are much more likely to be victims of violence in the USA.
