LeBron James, Amy Schumer, Alyssa Milano, Rosie O'Donnell...the list of these anti-gun hypocrites who propose gun control for the commoners goes on and on. They even demand a fleet of armed guards at their botox parades...er, award shows.
Most people who are pro gun control are fine with people with clean records having registered guns, and fine with trained professionals carrying firearms on duty. I have no idea about LeBron James's political views, nor do I reall care, but the notion that pro-gun control means anti-gun is largely a strawman.
I agree, and I believe it comes from the NRA's scare tactics and the sky is falling rhetoric whenever anyone even hints at gun legislation.

Studies show that a gun in the home is more likely to kill a family member or friend than a criminal intruder.
In self defense too. A small woman has little chance against a large man unless she's armed. Especially if her psycho ex is already armed. A protection order is just a piece of useless paper.

Well, I do see your point, but to be fair.... hiring trained, armed guards is a bit different than random people floating around carrying guns and nobody knowing how qualified they are to use them.
