He was elected by taking advantage of our societal divisions. He exacerbated those divisions for his own political benefit like no one else in history. Since that time he has done absolutely nothing to bridge the widening gap between us. He considers himself the President of the 46% of the people that voted for him.

He also was elected with the assistance of a hostile foreign power using stolen information, after his campaign officials met with representatives of that foreign power, and then demonstrated willingness to play along by changing the Republican Platform position on Ukraine.

Trump has operated on the fringes of legality for decades, so it’s fits his pattern.

I’m not sure he’s the worst President in history. It’s hard to beat James Buchanan, but he’s down there among the most despicable people ever elected.

[quote=tripleh;53309740]some historians and some Americans

they have it backwards according to this American, and thats ok, they are allowed to believe wrongly.. just like some will surely accuse me of believing.

Nothing is ever all in politics! Are some historians, government or Pew polls saying that about Trump? Nope!

You'll have to wait quite some time to know. I'd say we rarely will know the value, or lack thereof, of a President until well after he/she is out of office.

We Americans are always prejudging things and we want instant answers, and many decisions or policy changes take years or even generations to actually come to fruition.

We may think some of Trumps ideas or policies he's promoting to be dumb, stupid or whatever, but time will tell. Even a broken watch is correct twice a day.

Many wonderful inventions were the results of a mistake while trying to go another direction, and this wonderful thing came into being by accident, while the original idea failed miserably.

We'll know Trump is a failure and the worst President ever if nuclear war breaks out and most of us die, or else 5, 10 or 20 years from now when we look back, we'll be able to accurately evaluate the long term benefit, or abject failure of his Presidency. Most previous Presidents have had a bit of both.

Until then....keep hoping for the best and vote!

The Obama's have made a positive mark on history and it will be kind to them, unlike the disaster Trump. C-D won't change that!
Yep, to Democrat Historians. Definately not to Historians from Libya or Syria or the Families of the 2000 American service men who died in Afganistan under his reign. Afterall he will be remembered by American historians as being a Nobel Peace winner who invaded countries and let his Terrorists friends return to the battle field to kill again...how peaceful "admired and well-liked" by Stalinist
