^^^^^ coming from a tree hugger liberal from Oregon. Whoever is the majority in a state controls the gerrymandering. Both parties do it. Democrats controlled congress for 40 years straight until 1994, you don't think they did a lot of gerrymandering to keep control of Congress for 40 years? you betcha. So stop with the hypocrisy.

Truthfully, what's keeping the GOP alive as a party right now is their "you have to vote for us or else the Democrats will get in" every election day. If we can pull that life support, the party will be as dead as Jacob Marley.

Of course, if the Dems cannot pull these stunts and protests and keep fooling enough people to vote Dem to stop the "evil racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, rapist, etc" Republicans, then they will quickly go the way of their heroes, the Prussian Empire and the USSR.
More gop voters probably die off daily than dem ones. I can't think of anyone I know under 40 voting for the old white man party. Will be interesting to see things in s couple decades

I bet in red states, like Oklahoma, Republican registered voters under 40 outnumber Democrats. There are also a bunch who choose to register independent.

Obama was certainly the more moral family man than the amoral jackass in office who makes fun of gold star families and POWs and slept around with porn stars while his wife was pregnant.

The hypocrisy of the religious right in electing trump is astounding

Ok won't matter. Think FL. TX etc. Those are where things are really going to shift.

Trump just pissed off six figures of Puerto Ricans who have moved to FL. He probably they thought they were illegals and couldn't vote lol. Why do you think Desantis broke with trump on the hurricane Maria death toll? Even he's not that much of an idiot... of course trump made him pay the price.

Not sure what you mean by switching sides, since Jolly hasn’t changed his mind about being conservative. I don’t think William Buckley would have had any use for Trump either.

Deals like air lifting pallets of Cash to the largest sponsor of terrorism in the World?

I’ll pass on that - Normal People will pass on that.

Florida is a very politically complex state. There is a huge generational gap, with growing numbers of both conservative seniors and liberal, diverse young people. It is certainly possible that the state flips parties in both the Senate (D -> R) and governor (R -> D) races this year. Neither party is crumbling, but their coalitions are moving around, and Republicans have a decisive geographic advantage at this time.
