Why do we have to pay for additional farm subsidies? Trump is pushing a socialist scam.

Apparently one of the largest electrical power companies in America is sold on them.

Most everyday vehicles are newer and get decent gas mileage.

Now diesel coal rollers, that is a whole other issue.
One third of the vehicles on the road in my part of Houston are monster trucks. These guys are not working in oil fields or on ranches. They are bullies who would run over their own grandma to get to the next traffic light ahead of the rest. Then we have lots of little race car driver wannabes. The waste of petroleum is almost sinful.

Demand drives prices. Their driving habits affect all of us. Just like insurance rates.

Ethanol is a scam. elected representatives ensuring votes.

Meanwhile food prices go through the roof with escalating corn prices.

alternative and renewable energy sources are being explored, whoever gets in on the bottom floor with be wealthy beyond all dreams. Do not think petro companies are not researching alternatives at a breakneck pace. Just because the latest offering is labeled green energy does not make it economically viable on a large scale.

Classic case of wack a mole with ethanol and food prices. As well as costing more and engines and hoses failing because of ethanol which turns older ingredients in rubber hoses to spaghetti. All new hoses are ethanol proof.

Sorry to see the pat on the back for ethanol. the farmers will cast their votes for Trump.

We need more refineries.

first salvo to be fired should target lawn mowers. Pollution generated vies with full sized trucks that were just beginning to evolve technically re pollution equip.

Overdrive trans, computerized fuel injection and ignition mapping took us a whole lot further down the road to increased gas mileage and reduced pollution than anti pollution tech.

Even chevy mechanical fuel injection on 57 -65 vettes were getting around 21mpg while the fleet was somewhere in the 8 to 12 mpg range. And that was back in the 50s and early 60s. Imagine where we would have been if automakers stuck with FI development.

Get a vehicles weight down and mileage goes up. Try to buy a nice car sans all the power stuff and electronic doodads and you can't. Makers find no market for a stripped down car. About time someone stepped up and offered one in their line.

Mark my words, the future is hovercraft. Infrastructure costs would be reduced to a pittance . Latex allergies from tires a thing of the past. the savings could provide free healthcare to everyone!

no but let me give you a bit of a reality check here, a marine engine is no different from a car engine, EXCEPT for the peripherals, like the fuel system. the basic block, heads, and rotating assembly are exactly like a car engine.

did i ever indicate that? the fact is no i dont advocate for an ethanol mandate, and never have. it should however at least be put on the market as an alternative for those that want to run ethanol, either as E85 or E100.

yes these things did help fuel economy and emissions performance. EFI because we can have much tighter control over the air/fuel mixture going into the cylinder, and it can change each time the cylinder opts for its next fuel charge.

yes but the mechanical fuel injection was plagued with troubles and was often times removed in deference to a carburettor or two.

its not the accessories that is the problem, its the government mandated safety equipment that truly adds the weight.

oh how star trek of you. better develop the anti gravity units first before making a prediction like that. but i agree that it will come about at some point n the future, but you will still need to power the unit in some manner, and that means generating electricity from some form of fuel.
