Change and hope are empty gesture talking point terms to ever-moving goalposts of vague objectives.

It’s an ingenious strategy that allows one to whine about the current state of American society for the foreseeable future.

For example, in 10 years when the underclass is still the underclass, SJWs will advocate a minimal wage hike of $50 an hour. “We need change!”

- Affordable health insurance for all Americans
- K-12 education needs fixed far more than this country needs free college. Unfortunately all Republicans seem to be concerned about when it comes to education is sneaking religion into the science classes or trying to get taxpayer money to pay for religious education. That and...FOOTBALL. Meanwhile, schools are still failing. It's really a joke how poorly educated a typical high school graduate is today. And nobody seems to care.
- Protect our national parks and monuments
- Restore Obama-era emissions and fuel economy regulations. Climate change is real, even if fundamentalist Christians want to keep insisting it's a hoax.
- End the trade war that has the potential to tank the economy
- Implement housing and employment non-discrimination for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. Allow exceptions for tax-exempt religious institutions
- Restore net neutrality
- Legalize marijuana federally.
- Audit the Pentagon. We need to cut military spending but we need to trim the fat and not the meat.
- We need to come up with some compromise on the border that will include enforcing of existing laws while also providing a path to citizenship for immigrants already in this country. In no circumstances should we be separating families

You ain't seen nuthin yet...........think of a place like San Fran and multiply the "oddness" by 1000.....there is your Liberal-paradise.

And of course the Liberal Richie-Riches will live totally insulated from the madness.

Why wouldn't you want to change America? Some people want it to look more like the 1950's, some want it to look more like Marxism, but Trump wasn't elected to keep America exactly as it was under Obama. He was elected to transform it.

Is this as good as it gets? Does this make you happy? If not, change it.

"free stuff"..classic.

Just an observation, a question was asked by the OP, a lot of people gave answers, some of them very detailed, and I still see a lot of hyperbole and spew from the opposite end of the spectrum. Obviously some didn't want an answer, didn't read the answers or didn't comprehend what they were reading.

Unless you're some Wall Street big shot yourself, you would come out way ahead if you have to pay a little more in taxes and no longer have to pay private insurance (incl the employer part which is really you who pay it through lower wages) and getting a proper safety net if you become disabled and cant work and have mouths to feed and house.

If you earn the typical wage of $45 000 a year and your employer pays $10 000 a year worth of health care, then you already pay over 20% of your income just in the employer part of your health care!

I've already said what a typical Franklin D Roosevelt style presidency would look like, with specific policies. The problem is that the big donors are terrified if we ban for-profit prisons, increase the minimum benefits for the disabled and the elderly, strengthen the labor unions and make sure ordinary workers and salt of the earth Americans have a real say in our political system by publicly financing election campaigns.

Was a time when I would have provided you my list, thinking it might matter somehow, as I see some have already done in this thread, but after spending some time in this forum, I would love to see "change and progress" in terms of how people might stop misrepresenting what they don't like or understand, their ego-driven partisan nonsense, ignorant over-the-top silly rhetoric to nowhere...

AKA more maturity and civility. Less stupidity and buffoonery.

Right. Back to the wall and massive deportations, "to make America great again."
