Simmons Research says a new survey measuring the level of trust American adults have for 38 of the largest and most well-known news sources points to an industry in crisis. The first Simmons News Media Trust Index finds just 40.1 percent of respondents rate news sources “trustworthy” or “very trustworthy.”
Topping the list, across all news sources (and the only newspaper in the Top 5), was The Wall Street Journal, with 57.7 percent saying it’s trustworthy. The major television network news organizations also fared well, with ABC taking second (55.9%), CBS in third (55.4%), and NBC in sixth (54.1%).
Among cable TV news, the most trusted network in the U.S. wasn’t even American: BBC News was trusted by 55.2 percent of Americans and was the fourth most trusted news source. CNN trailed the list at No. 14, with the trust of 46.1 percent. Among cable news organizations, CNN was fourth behind BBC News, MSNBC (47.4%) and Bloomberg (46.3%). Fox News followed in 17th, with just 44.7 percent.
Forbes was the most trusted magazine and rounded out the Top 5, trusted by 54.2 percent of Americans. The New York Times and The Washington Post were both among the most trusted news organizations, according to the survey. The Times was No. 7, trusted by 53.8 percent, and the Post (53.6%) was No. 8. USA Today (51.1%) and the Washington Times (50%) were the final two sources trusted by at least a majority of Americans.

Why? They are a marketing research company that sells its data. They are capitalists not a political group. If their data was not sound, they would go out of business.

I trust my wife.
I trust my daughter.
I trust my mother in law.
I trust Ron Paul

So far, those are the only people that have earned my trust.

It’s not paranoia, it’s just hyper awareness. Right?

MRC is a political organization. So no, they aren’t a certified data provider like Simmons is.
Besides your post has nothing to do with mine.
