I would substute "body" for "face", but other than that, I fully agree.

I don't have tattoos myself, and most I see on the average Joe are cheap looking. I've seen some well done ones on athletes though. I think you need to spend some serious dough for it to look good.

I agree, but would add that they are also an attempt to distinguish oneself, to stand out from the crowd (pathetically, I might add) without having to actually accomplish anything in life other than making a perpetual fool of yourself. While I defend their right to do so, I ask that they cover up their ugly indiscretion while in public so we are not subjected to your eyesore.

Tattoos are one of, if not the, ugliest form of self-desecration thee is.

Interesting to see him go again for another fresh topic

But what gives???

Are tattoos really that telling of a indicator for knowing if people think twice or not???

Should we ban tattoos altogether?

What the heck is happening to my YT embedlem?
I have long agreed with this assessment. Tattoos are indeed for non-thinking people. They hurt, they fade over time, etc.

Oh wait...
"Individuality" gained through self-desecration (tattoos, for example), instead of accomplishment, is self-indulgent vanity, just like other freakish behavior. Self-inflicted ugliness in desperate search of some absent meaning to a vacuous life.

I have to agree. Its one area where you can judge a book by its cover and be right a majority of the time. Yes there are successful intelligent educated people with tattoos some with lots of visible ones. However almost every lowlife drug addicted on and off incarcerated individual has them and quite often the neck and face variety.

For me I don't like needles, don't like pain and don't want to be dumped in the working class loser category. But to each their own.

Individuality in public display is individuality in public display. The only difference is the commitment to the individuality.

Your presumptions are amusing to say the least. I've sat at board meetings with everyone showing tattoos at Fortune 500s, guess we didn't accomplish much in our meaning absent vacuous lives other than deliver the means for you to post your vacuous opinions on forums like this.

I'm not a fan of tats. Seems foolish to inject a bunch of ink into your skin. Blech!

As a general rule- the more people do to cause others to notice their outward appearance- the more they want to hide what is on the inside.
