Of course powerful families are friendly with each other despite politics. Even Trump was good friends with the Clintons for a long time. Just Google images of "Trump and Clinton friends" and you get dozens of pictures of them at parties, chumming around, playing golf, etc. Those who buy into political extremes and "us against them" are being played by both parties.

in spite of any theatrical protestations to the contrary, there is just one party. Its the party of power and control.
We knew the ugly comments would be thrown out by Trumpees, you can expect nothing less from people who think someone as foul mouthed/ ugly natured as Donald Trump is somehow ok. These same folks would find something nasty to say about Mother Theresa in a heartbeat.
But we have to ignore them. Class and dignity were something we saw in both the Bush and Obama Presidencies, and we lost in January of 2017. The Right thought nothing of making every horrible comment about Michelle Obama , but she kept her head held high and showed she is a strong, intelligent, very classy lady. Same with GW. As much as I disagreed with some of his policies, George is a good person at heart.
It is so nice to see two people, of opposite political and other views be able to get along and actually like one another. Too bad you will never see this happening from the Trump camp.
Finally, good political news. Two people from different political backgrounds coming together to enjoy life. Just being open and accepting of each other is so much easier and fun than negative, hurtful rhetoric. Good for them!
Anyone who believes what she is saying is a complete moron. She is saying that because it's politically expedient to do so right now and if she IS being honest then both her and her husband were complete liars their entire time in office (which we already knew) since they bashed and blamed him for everything possible. "partners in crime" don't do that to people "they love to death".
Criminals don't exactly have a lot of integrity. When you remember that you can understand the Obamas much more readily.
