The democrats gained 2 senate seats in the 2016 election and around 8 seats in the house, more since the election so I guess Pelosi is doing something right. The democrats expect more gains next month.

It's not like Republicans would suddenly stop viciously attacking the Democratic leader if someone else were in that position, so whatever. Does uttering the name "Nancy Pelosi" actually change anyone's mind, or just make the spines tingle of people who would never vote D anyway?
In the flood of TV ads that I've been inconvenienced by this year, I've noticed one theme that has been recurring. That is that Republican attack ads that link good prospective candidates to Nancy Pelosi.
If she has become a liability, she needs to step down from the Democratic leadership in the House.
A recent poll showed that more people trust Pelosi than Trump. So there's that.
