He’s kind of right. Iran would attack them the minute the US washes it’s hands of the ME.

Let them slug it out without our help. To hell with all of them, Persians and Arabs. Let them eat oil.

Without US interference Iran wouldn't be involved anywhere. Unlike the Isrealis, Arabs, and Americans, Iranians have never invaded a country in the alst 100 years.

Iran poses no threat, and was only concerned with developing nuclear weapons as a deterrent to an invasion by the United States.

As it is, we have them surrounded in Iraq and Afghanistan, and are forcing them to seek weapons from someone else (Russia) as a matter of self defense.

The Saudi's are evil beasts, but that didn't stop either Bush or Trump from traveling there and doing the "sword dance" with those animals.

Trump said we cannot do much because the Saudis buy stuff from us and they would just buy elsewhere. He doesn't want to give up the jobs.

A friend was bidding on a job his wife thought was unethical. He finally understood her position when she asked him if he would have built ovens for the Germans because somebody was gonna get that work?

We need to tell the Saudis for once and for all to kiss our butts. One would think sponsoring 9-11 would have been reason enough.
Bush was more concerned with flying the Saudi's out of the country before they could be questioned by the FBI than in getting answers. Of course, the Iraq lies started almost immediately.

Exactly, if America wanted peace with Iran, we could have it.

It's just that many since 1979 have had no desires to better relationships, especially Reagan.

Are you saying that Obama did?
Lets see, continued the war in Syria and got us kicked out of Iraq. (To be fair Hillary helped out with that Iraq deal). WE ended up having to go back much weaker and the enemy much stronger.
Got us involved in a Libyan civil war. Americans died.
Got us involved in Syria's civil war and spent billions.
Got involved in a few other places like Yemen.
So. It would seem that the democrats version of diplomacy is questionable at best.

He also tried to make some very questionable trade deals with China.
The climate accord was a big win for everyone but us. We got to foot the bill for China and India.

I would say that Trump's diplomacy is seriously lacking any polish, any grace or style, but it is what I expected from a snake oil salesman. Obama and company like GWB and Clinton simply sold us out.
