I think it means that it "appears" that it's Breaking News (this week) just as it was Breaking News (last week about Donald Trump) that Jared Kushner possibly didn't pay Income Taxes when he was 3 years old.

What we know for sure is that both Donald Trump and Jared Kushner don't take a salary from the American people for the work they do in the White House ...... same is true for several cabinet members in the Trump Administration. Sorta refreshing.

Why? They are just following the law. If I did not like it, I would complain about the law not the people following it.

The article doesn't accuse Kushner of breaking any laws, but come on, this is just not right! It highlights the fact that the wealthy in this country benefit from enormous tax advantages that the rest of us don't have recourse to. Republicans have only made this inequity worse. Trump, who campaigned on a populist message, has pushed through tax changes that further enrich himself and his family. This comes on top of the news that Trump fraudulently received hundreds of millions from his father.

Trump fans, how do you feel about this? Where is the outrage over the wealthy taking a free ride courtesy of the average taxpayer?
So he followed the law. What’s your point here?

You could give our government all the money in the world and they would just create more debt with it.

Back to your safe space.

Oh come on. They are entitled to no taxes, as you are entitled to SS, Medicare etc, while the hard working middle class is choosing between CNN and Fox.

As society evolves from "following the spirit of the law" to "following the rule of the law" these things will happen.

Thus can be fixed by abolishing the IRS and the income tax.

this is from the same left that said in 2012 that Mitt Romney hasn't paid his taxes for years.....it was a lie.

I guess, the reporters at the New York Times found something that the I.R.S. and the New York State Tax Revenue didn't found for decades. This is Amazing!!!! we should just get rid of the IRS and the NY state tax revenue and just have the New York Times run up the tax laws, review all income taxes and enforce all tax laws......amazing!!

You can always tell someone's IQ level by how they respond to these types of threads.

Low IQ people that don't run business, own real estate, or generate much revenue never have write offs, or take advantage of the tax codes to minimize their tax burden, these people simply cannot understand this issue.

Person making 100-200k is not low income I guess. This is not an IQ issue, its a question of ethics and moral.

As usual another 10k plus poster, defending the status quo.

Most people with even an average IQ makes enough money to use tax write offs, or other tax codes to minimize their tax burden, so....

That leaves us with it being the low IQ people that do most of the whining in these types of threads, or....

It leaves us with extreme hypocrites that use write offs, or other tax codes to minimize their tax burden, but complain in these threads.

So its low IQ, or extreme hypocrites that whine in these types of threads.

As to supporting the status quo, well as someone that runs a small business, I understand the necessity of writing off expenses. I also understand that its wise to generate revenue that is taxed as minimally as possible.
