If a "blue wave" succeeds in giving the Democrats control at least of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections in November, Democrats will have the power to subpoena documents and force administration officials to testify about a slew of scandals, including aides using private email for government business, agencies spending taxpayer money at Trump resorts and sexual assault allegations involving his recent Supreme Court appointment, Brett Kavanaugh. Republicans worry that Trump and his aides have no idea the hell that may await

And newsflash: We DO know what awaits the country in the likely event that Dems take the House at midterms--wasting their time and taxpayers' money as they always do.
The end result will be that, thanks to the Senate, neither Trump nor Kavanaugh is going anywhere. And the House monkeyshines will only help Republicans in 2020.
(But I do believe the part where the Democrat party has become the party of Blind Rage out for revenge at any cost to the USA.)

I've addressed your lies about Senator Warren elsewhere, but for you to call this fake....its a freaking opinion piece, one thats based on reality. The dems look like they will take the House. And if you READ the linked article it talks about how difficult it can be when the opposing party has the house, and can investigate things. People will be forced to testify that have had cover until now. And yes, the whitehouse is unprepared. They have ZERO experience with this, and whereas Obama had maybe 1 issue a year that could be investigated, this whitehouse creates them DAILY.
The whole Christine Blah Blah Ford episode was a sham; stop pretending it wasn't. It was a delay tactic that blew up in the Dems (and their media servants) faces. An allegation at the last minute coming out of left field was just another Democrat dirty trick. The good news is all the nasty allegations that were thrown at Kavanaugh has red-pilled him. So thanks Dems for moving our guy further to the right!
And now he is CLEARLY biased. This will hurt the SCOTUS and open up a whole can of worms of possibly refuting SCOTUS rulings based on the fact he didn't recuse himself when he should have done that. The integrity of the SCOTUS will be hurt with Kavanaugh being on the bench. I hope you are happy with that and can sleep at night supporting this crisis that the founding fathers are rolling over in their graves over. Remember Washington DIDN'T want political parties at all.

Trump is a known race-baiting, sexist biggoted hypocritical criminal bastard. New York and New Jersey knew this and he didn't win those states despite thinking he could put those states "in play" by supporters on this forum. Just look at his failed casinos and how he divested and revested himself several times over before the latest when he sold the Trump casinos to Carl Ichan. He divested himself to prevent bankruptcy from the debacle that was opening up Trump Taj Mahal in 1989. He leveled Atlantic City time and time again. Not that what he did was criminal this time.
Trump has a lot of questions of tax evasion which is why he keeps getting audited and couldn't release his taxes like just about every presidential candidate has done. Then there is all the Russian ties and questions of his campaign financing. At the very least on the Russian ties, he did nothing and knew nothing, at worst this is a Watergate. I don't get why this is so hard to understand?
As for his biggotry, this dates back well into his days of just being a real estate celebrity. Central Park 5 anyone? Hell, he STILL hasn't apologized about all that. What about the whole Obama birth certificate thing? What about the whole Pocohontas deal with Elizabeth Warren? What about his cluster bomb of the border back in June/July?

1. The Senate and the House, not the Senate and Congress.
The United States Congress is the bicameral legislative body of the federal government of the United States. It consists of two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate.
2. Merely taking back the Senate and the House won't be good enough on face to get rid of Trump.
It takes a 2/3 vote in the Senate to remove the POTUS from office.
No Senator has ever voted to remove a President of his own party at the end of a Senate trial.
If that precedent held, Democrats would need to gain a 2/3 majority in the Senate, not just a simple majority.
I agree, there wouldn't be the support in the Senate to convict, and for that reason I think it would be a waste of time for the Democrats to go that route at this point in time. The Senate majority will remain slim no matter which party is in control.
But there will be nothing to stop House Democrats from launching some much needed investigations into this very corrupt administration. It would be two long years of bad news for Trump and his cronies. After NINE Benghazi investigations launched for the sole purpose of taking down Clinton, this will be fun.
