Patrick Bumatay is the second openly gay person to be nominated by Trump to be a federal judge. The first was Mary Rowland, a magistrate judge who Trump nominated to be on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in June; she is waiting to be confirmed by the Senate.

The left is going to hate this idea that Trump is acting in a way that makes them look like liars.

Appointing a gay ambassador and now nominating another gay to the judiciary.

Of course, Feinstein and Harris are opposing his nomination.

Good for Trump. I say that genuinely. Donald Trump is getting it right. Well done. Time for the makeup of federal judges to represent what America looks like.

For what it's worth, Barack Obama attempted to nominate two openly gay judges, republicans blocked both of them.

Barack Obama attempted to nominate an openly gay judge in 2011, Judge Edward Dumont, but republicans blocked it and never held a confirmation hearing.

" It is stated that some Republicans opposed the nomination of Deward Dumont in 2010, which possibly led to his hearing never being scheduled and his subsequent withdrawal."

Barack Obama also attempted to nominate Judge William Thomas, but the republicans blocked it in 2014.

"The nomination of a gay black Miami judge to the federal bench will not move forward after Senator Marco Rubio announced he was withdrawing his support"

Is that going to be viewed the same as you are suggesting ?

So let's try a little game. It's called, "What Does All Of This Information Tell You?"

Let's see....

You state that Republicans blocked (make sure that is bolded) 2 different judges who were gay when the clown attempted to nominate them. The implication is that the Republicans blocked (make sure that is bolded) them solely because they were gay.

And yet, here we have the Republican party nominating gays.

What does that tell you?

Hint: We don't play identity politics, we vote on merit, not who they choose to sleep with, what their gender is, what their race is, how old they are, etc.

Thank you for playing.
