JOBS are the reason that immigrants are still coming, even with a very anti-immigrant president.
Trump isn't "anti-immigrant" at all. Seriously? Two of his wives were immigrants.

He is "very anti-illegal alien". Stop blurring the lines between legal immigrants and illegal aliens.

Riiight. Ask him how he feels about chain-migration. https://abcnews.go.com/US/times-trum...ry?id=57132429

Hmmmm.... Then there's this:

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-45920624

From the article:

Many of the migrants temporarily broke through barriers on a bridge which crosses the river border between Guatemala and Mexico.

Dozens of Mexican police in riot gear fired tear gas to force them to retreat into no-man's land after being attacked with stones.

So...Mexican police were, indeed, attacked by caravan members.

I don't like chain migration either. It's time for a moratorium on legal immigration. For decades, we've allowed into this country 1 million legal immigrants per year. We don't have unlimited potable water or buildable land. Plus, we have many poor Americans also mentally ill ones who can't get proper help. Those are the people who should be getting help --- not illegal aliens.

Sounds like long term planning. I’m talking these specific 5,000. Maybe the government sets up something similar to a go fund me and matches every dollar up to say $3 million. Now anyone that cares enough can donate money and deduct it from their taxes. Use the money to pay for clothing, medical treatment, security and transportation to any country willing to step up and take them in.

We cry about mental health when someone shoots up a place...well, sounds like you’ve identified a way to allocate more money for mental health of American citizens.

In reality, that medical center would turn into a perpetual money-pit. There would always be another person in need of free food and free healthcare. And anyone who proposes closing it would get hit with endless "racism" accusations.

Stopping chain migration does not make him anti-"immigrant". If that were true he wouldn't allow any immigrants into our country. Why should we allow in all of their family members whom many become a burden to our society? We have to keep population growth in check to.

We aren’t offering endless treatment. Just addressing immediate medical concerns that would leave one unable to board a ship or plane and stay there with medical professionals on hand for a few hours. Long term health issues will be addressed by the country taking them in.

If they can travel a thousand miles in the conditions they are facing - they can ride on a boat or plane.

Money down a rat hole. We've been giving aid to many of the same countries since the 60's and no end in sight.
