They will, possibly already are destroying the economy - they send billions back to their Home Counties yearly, depriving the U.S. economy of monetary circulation and burdening our social services by adding the weight of prolly millions of non/citizens to Medicaid, among other services intended for citizens. They stress the social structure by necessitating special instruction in schools, stressing of police and safety forces due to non-citizen brown-on-brown crime and general gang activity.

Since they can't do any law enforcement that is a lot of troops to peel potatoes and police the camp grounds. Maybe they can make tortillas and salsa for the new Americanos.

Mexico is a lot better off than Honduras.

Their stated intention is to violate the immigration laws of the United States and stay here illegally.
Then why have a lot of them already given up?

I suspect their main intention is to get out of Honduras to something better - ANYTHING better.

well, Military =/= shoot people just because they want to.

They follow strict rules of engagement. I think military will be SAFER for the civilians who just want to come here for a job.

Despite what the article says, I don't believe they were offered jobs. Rather, they were offered the opportunity to find jobs.

Which is a completely different thing. It's like being offered a green card.

Then perhaps the military should concentrate on smoking out all those profiting from cheap labor and paying them those billions, they're a bigger threat to the country than those merely trying to feed their families!
