What are 5,200 troops going to do for the next couple of months waiting for the 'caravan' that may never show?
Are they bringing in volleyball, basketball, board games--something for them to do while they are standing around staring at each other for two months in the heat. They are not allowed to perform any LE duties, so what exactly are they going to do?

The quoted is very interesting. The caravan people are fleeing their countries because their Governments failed to protect them. A faction of our Government is welcoming the caravan. Does that mean when the caravan people and more and more like them bring their problems with them that the good people of America will form caravans and move to Canada?
I don't know if the Left loves the caravan people and are willing to look the other way at their lawless nature because they really want to help these poor people or they are just promoting the horde of invaders to upset Trump?
I can't help but wonder how the uppity Liberals would feel if 7000 people suddenly appeared in their town and demanded rights. What if these people were traveling by boat and came ashore at their favorite beach?

Can you direct me to the posts on this thread or quotes from Congressional Democrats where they say the "love" the migrant caravan, are "willing to look the other way" with respect to criminal activity, or are going to "welcome" "hoards" of these people into the US? I have not seen anyone saying that except for hard Right sources accusing them of doing so without any support for their accusations.
As I understand it, the Democrat position on the caravan is that they must be stopped at the border, processed in accordance with the law (including refugees, if refugee status is claimed), and granted entry or turned away accordingly after they are given the appropriate due process, which to me appears to be the correct outcome under the law. Can you link to something that says their position is otherwise?
An army of mostly mothers, with their children, walking a couple thousand miles in flip flops or sneakers, to beg for legal asylum.
This is the deadly threat that Trump has mobilized the nation to prepare for.

It is no hoax. Warfare has changed. Where we used to have large armies face each other on the battle field, then in trenches, then in tanks, planes and pushing buttons to lob missiles at each other war has changed today. We now have small groups of determined men willing to sacrifice their lives for small gains against their enemies. We have all the military technology yet some guy in a robe and sandals can still hurt us.
The caravan people might not have traditional weapons but they have the numbers. We have seen them break down barriers and face down armed Mexican troops and they kept marching.
Can you imagine 7000 people descending on your town, taking over and demanding rights? What could stop them except the Police or Military rounding them up and watch out if one of them is injured because the SJW's and their human right groups will sue everyone involved all the way to the WH.
If the 7000 do bum rush the border they won't be taking over any towns but they will disperse into the illegal alien class of the underbelly of America and they will get to work on draining our resources.
I disagree. The military has far more restraint. But I have no doubt the invaders will use violence to get in.
Far more restraint and sense of duty than the White House has these days.
If a soldier breaks ranks he'll be punished. Personally don't feel much is gonna come of any of this. The military can't detain anyone, this is 100% border patrol.

We don't need any links the evidence is all around us.
Who is supporting illegal immigration by providing the trespassers Sanctuary in their towns, cities and states? It is not the Republicans. Who is calling for ICE to be disbanded? Who is giving illegal aliens welfare and drivers licenses? Not the Republicans.
The Democrats only see the women and children in the caravan and close their minds to the fact that there are criminals in the mix. The Republicans see the problems that come with such a mass of people that are willing to break the law to get what they want.
We have immigration laws for a reason and the Democrats are just fine with people breaking those laws and that is a crazy fact.
The saddest part of all is that the Dems are welcoming their new soon to be base of voters while ignoring and refusing to protect "their" people that live in dangerous inner cities where Democrat citizens face the same fear of crimes that the caravans are supposedly fleeing from?
You resist, whine, complain, dodge, and misdirect whenever anything is suggested that is not amnesty. Your "solution" is really absurd. You want to legalize millions of unknown unvetted people because the problem is "too hard", then resist any means to address how they managed to enter into the country in the first place. It doesn't take a genius to figure bout that they will keep coming. That's why you're never going to get amnesty, who would take that deal? Nobody. First address how they manage to get in, then focus on capturing and deporting those here. It is a big task but we can do it.
Only two things we need to know:
Fix how they get in.
Deport those law breakers here already.
The poster you are replying to is speaking out of both sides of their mouth to. They claim to oppose illegal immigration but just wants those here illegally already, legalized. They say we should secure our border from future illegal entry yet with each and every post of theirs they defend another invasion on the way. Does he think we're stupid and that we can't read?
NPR sent a team down to Honduras this week to interview a catholic priest from the small town in Honduras where about half of the "caravan" is from.
He said that hundreds of mothers left with their kids to avoid the seven different gangs in that area from recruiting their sons. Teenage boys who refuse to join gangs in Honduras are often attacked with machetes or dismembered entirely.
Nearly one third of the caravan from South America is made up of mothers and their sons who refuse to join drug cartel gangs and are seeking safety. They do not want to have their heads cut off by vicious drug cartels so they are coming to the USA seeking asylum in order to survive.
But Trump claims that all these people are "criminals" with "some middle easterners mixed in." And his low IQ, uneducated, brainless supporters believe him.
