How are thousands of people walking 250 miles in a week or so?
They're not walking. They are getting rides on trucks and buses for good portions of the trek. I thought that you've seen the photos of them on the back of trucks.
Go try to hire young Americans, you will soon find out how lazy they are.
I'm sure that you like reading WaPo, correct? If so, I can't believe that you missed the story (it was on the front page) some weeks back that wrote about a Bell and Evans plant in PA. Americans were working there but in recent years, Dominicans came in great numbers and took most of the jobs. The Americans still there were talking about being made to feel isolated. They didn't mind doing the work involved at the processing plant. What bothered them was the working environment. Can you imagine working in such an environment where you're made to feel isolated? Where the people who work there with you make no effort to learn English?
Border official: three-quarters of migrants in the caravan are adult men
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials have said the inability to deport immediately has incentivized people to illegally enter rather than request asylum at a port of entry.
Eighty percent of asylum cases were not granted in 2017.
Oh stop with this BS that our American youth won't do blue-collared jobs because they are lazy and afraid to get dirty. I'm so sick of this lying anti-American crap and attitude that I could just puke!
I'm with you, I don't think that's the case at all. Many of those jobs have already been filled by those who are in this country illegally. It all began when contractors, landscapers and those in the service industry realized they could hire the illegal invaders and pay them less than their American counterparts. Day laborers are ubiquitous throughout the country, hanging out at various locations waiting to be picked up by contractors and landscapers. Obviously the invaders wouldn't complain as their standard of living even with those low wages are much better here than where they came from. Many are just too afraid to complain for fear of being reported. They also don't mind living in cramped apartments to share the high cost of rent.
You don't see too many if any state's and municipalities hiring illegal invaders working on their road maintenance crews or as paid firefighters. As of yet I haven't seen too many illegals doing automotive work either for many of the major auto lube and tire chains. All are laborsome, dirty grimy jobs. They just put up a house in my neighborhood to my surprise all of the workers were American, I could hear them all talking while they were working. I'm now living in Arizona and it was hot as hell when they were building that house.
When I was living in New York as soon as a home was sold in my old neighborhood. Someone would buy it and turn a single family home into multi family apartments. Next came cars parked all over the sidewalks, public drinking and urinating. Volleyball being played well into the night to the sound of loud foreign music. We used to call code enforcement to no avail, only to be told that all of the occupants were all related and that there was nothing they could do about it.
Just recently we had our roof done, the owner was American yet not one member of his crew spoke a word of English. They ended up damaging the waterproof seals in our HVAC unit, when I realized what they were doing I couldn't communicate with them and the owner was out of town. I ended up having to find the leaks and fix the problem myself as water was leaking into my house through the ducts as there was intermittent rain while they were doing the work.
Now there are FOUR separate mob caravans coming into and through Mexico, heading for U.S.
Is there any reason to think the three other mobs following them won't do the same?
Nope, not in my mind anyway.

From your lips to God's ears and I truly hope your thoughts on this are correct! If that's the only way for them to magically disappear I'm all for it!

They're not lazy at all they just don't like the fact that they work for a company where the only few people who work there are American and speak English. Imagine what it must be like to work in an environment where all you hear all day long are conversations in a foreign language...in your own country!

I'm afraid that Khrushchev was right. Khrushchev knew that because of our open borders and lax immigration system along with a multi-lingual society and tens of millions who fail to assimilate. That it would be quite easy for foreigners to gain entry into the United States and over time fundamentally change and disrupt our American system of government and way of life. Socialism is the first step, communism the next.
At the end of the day this is what it boils down to...chaos and anarchy (absence or denial of any authority or established order).

Yes, I’m pointing out the lunacy of those still spouting these are desperate people walking over 1,000 miles to the US border. There are people still posting that the caravan will not arrive for another month and a half.

There is rumor of transport to Mexico City to meet with the politicos. Nothing about further than that.

They don't want to hear that not as many would come here if laws were enforced and they couldn't be hired with e-verify.
Lol, what a fantasy tale. With some of the like posts, that were posted in this very thread, one would think that the dems are handing out prizes for the most fantastical stories -- quick, you better submit yours and see if you win the grand prize, I think you have a real shot at it.

Maybe if the military going to the border would be sent to these countries to
You want our military to invade another country? It's not our place to go into other countries and do that (gee, I would have thought that we learned our lesson about sticking our nose in another country's business) If you want it done then feel free to rally up some of your like minded friends and all of you can go to these other countries to do what their own citizens and governments can do but won't do. Leave our military out of your pipe dream.

help the people get rid of these gangs that are killing people on their own soil, maybe just maybe not so many of them would feel desperate enough to try to travel in dangerous conditions with their children to the US.
There are many millions of people from those third world countries living in this country illegally and legally through amnesty or from being given asylum. Just imagine what kind of an impact these people would have made if the many millions would have stayed in their own country and banded together to fight off the gangs and to force them out. Even those in the caravan would have vastly outnumbered any gang in any town in their home country. And, before you can say 'bu, bu, that would mean they'd be placing their lives in danger' .. yeah, they would but it's really no different than the danger they'd placed themselves and their kids in to travel here...you even said so yourself.

I wish I had the answers because this breaks my heart.
No it isn't. You are using these people to attack those on the Right, no one whose heart is breaking would do that.

Nah, it is obvious that you, and anyone else who says similar, had never tried to hire any young Americans
You certainly have not seen pictures of the poor. I have.
I've seen videos and pictures of those in the caravan so what are you talking about?
