Well it counters your point - illegal aliens do receive welfare. Free health benefits, food assistance programs, and schooling is welfare and is something illegal aliens can receive and do receive. So retract your claim instead of shifting goal posts.

Its pretty simple. They pop out anchor babies, the parents get WIC, FOOD STAMPS, and Free Health Care......They also get free school, free lunch programs, free housing. The parents work illegally, dont pay taxes. Suck the system dry and make taxes go up up up.
About 12 years ago. Had to go with someone to apply for all moms and kids insurance through the state . When we got to the office. Not one person waiting for their number to be called could speak english....... I can only imagine how bad it is now.
They also send billions of US dollars to their countries, drive up inflation and drive down wages for the working class.

No one seeking asylum, especially spanish speakers, passes through other Countries. They are plain and simple looking for the best deal, aka free stuff. Enjoy the barrios and ghettos created by your "policy". Libs can then blame "the gun" for all the woes they've created by stupid games like this. These people are ghosts. No back ground checks. Fake names. No history what so ever.
The USA doesn't really need a wall to contain the central Americans. Instead, the USA can pay Mexico to contain them at the southern Mexican boarder. Mexico can use a heavy hand against illegal immigrants. Their police and army can arrest illegal immigrants. No one wants to be in a detention center in Mexico. The food given is substandard and in some cases rotten. Unlike the USA, it's the responsibility of the family to provide meals or pay for food services. Otherwise, the person in a detention or jail gets literally left over food, which is spoil or rotten often times. Furthermore, there is very little medical attention.
The police and anti-immigration force in Mexico routinely abuse illegal immigrants if the migrant doesn't pay a heavy bribe, no plata no paso. The immigrant gets a beating they won't forget if they can't pay, then gets thrown in a detention center to rot until they are deported.
Lastly, journalist and activist are routinely killed in Mexico. In fact, being a journalist in Mexico is the most dangerous profession. Any activist or journalist who report the abuse will find themselves in the cross sights of organized crime or by the police force. Foreign activist or journalist that cause too much trouble are kicked out of the country. Mexico is in a better position to repel immigrant south of the Mexican border. Beside, Mexicans strongly dislike these immigrants for the same reasons that some Americans don't want illegal aliens. Except in the case of Mexico, doesn't have the resources to spend on these immigrants, which is why no politician, police force, or illegal immigration police don't care what happens to the illegal aliens. Mexico won't give them asylum regardless what claims they make. However, a person can buy Mexican citizenship through the corrupt system, which is out of reach of these poor immigrants.
I know this personally from a police captain in the capital city of Mexico, who is now retired. That is how things are done in Mexico.
Last I read about that caravan was stopped at the southern Mexican border. When they rushed the gates, the Mexican force used tear gas and probably beat them with batons. The Mexican force doesn't mess around unlike the United States. When they mean no it means no.
Mexico can be an asset to the USA for regulating and controlling illegal immigration from South and Central America. Closer relationships can help both countries. The USA provide the cash and Mexico brings the muscle. Both the USA and Mexico benefit. The cost will be minimal compared to a wall and be more efficient. The Mexican border is much smaller compared to USA border. Nor is the Mexican government hamstring compared to the USA government.

You can't have an open border policy with a single-payer health care system. Countries that have a single-payer health care plans are very restrictive when it comes to immigration.

No one knows. And that is the problem. We beg for e-verify but it doesn't seem to happen. We all want illegals kept out. But nothing happens.
Maybe some strategy like requiring passports to get from Mexico into the US. But they would probably come in on forged passports.
Maybe paying the countries to keep their own people. We send aid to those countries but it never gets to the people. So maybe we need a form of bribery to the government officials so that they will do the job keeping their people in their own country.
This is it--no one has a really good idea of how to do this. I don't think a wall would be worth the money and the trouble. Figure something out--money always talks. Figure out something with money. Democrats and Republics BOTH--figure something out!
