THIS, is the truth. Any who want to avert their eyes, whine in denial or who try and manipulate this very different reality, from the progressive mythification of the ‘caravans’, But, buh, buh, the poor women and children., have a dark agenda. Or, are just plain fools.

They are required to ask for asylum in the first safe country they set foot in. That country was Mexico, and Mexico, indeed, did offer up asylum. While some accepted, the majority refused. If they truly were in need of asylum, they would have been appreciative and grateful for Mexico's offer. /shrug.
Of course, the vast majority don't qualify for asylum. They've made it clear in their own words. They want the US for all the freebies.

We need to tweak our immigration laws so that it’s not easily gamed. We all know what most of these immigrants want and it’s not legitimate asylum.

7-10 thousand all at once? Besides, as I already pointed out to you and yours there are exceptions to this law that our president can exercise and is doing by not allowing them to get into our country first to make their asylum claims.
