It seems to escape the Dotard that we have an immigration system to deal with people wishing to immigrate to America. I wonder why he has to make a great drama out of every attempt tp come to the US. It started with the middle east, moved to anyone of Islamic background, and now is focused on Latin and South America.
Does all this appeal to his base? Keep out anyone who is not a white male like me?
It's time to get over it. Come to the border, file the paperwork, and let our well developed system process people just like we have for generations. Not everyone is trying to "storm the southern border" as Donald would have his followers believe. Most are ordinary people trying to escape autocrats who would have them killed for their democratic beliefs.
Come to the Border ? File the paper work? You have no clue what you are talking about. The majority of these people are not fleeing anything. They do not even qualify for asylum. They just are using that as a loophole to get in the country, so they can disappear once in. 90% + of the asylum cases are denied. There was a recent article of what stories the people are claiming asylum court. They included marriage disputes, land and property disputes, and people saying they cant find jobs. How does that qualify anyone for asylum?
If you want to help these people, then I suggest YOU drive down to the border or Guatamala, and help them yourself with your money. Show them your compassion, so they know who is actually helping them. Don't expect the government to be compassionate with our forced stolen tax dollars and dont expect these people to be thankful to anyone when their welfare checks show up in the mail. The government cannot be compassionate .

Is there some rhetoric out there which suggests they are going to "storm the border" and overrun our border patrol types? Is that the State Media line? How do we know they, like everyone before them, aren't going to arrive here, apply for entry, and comply with our policies just like many before them?
Every other country makes them illegal, and then puts them in jail, and deports them or worse. Why do you want people that are potentially criminals, terrorist, or drug dealers to come here? Why don't you want to know the background of people coming here to keep the people of this country more secure, and safer? Do your really want the additional risk of NOT KNOWING who is coming here, and the nature of their background?
Does your zeal to Virtue Signal that you are so understanding of the plight of "brown people" allow you to put others at more risk? If you are so altruistic, just send money to Mexico, but don't make ME pay for their welfare, or crime.
We should allow anyone who wishes to immigrate to apply for entry consistent with our long standing laws. Making a big drama out of this feeds someone's agenda. They would make it sound as if this group of downtrodden souls is going to storm our Southern border and overrun the Southeast, changing melting pot America forever. Quite unlikely.
So, all the other countries that have stricter immigration laws and harsher penalties for illegals, like Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, most of Europe, Japan, China, most of South America, etc are all trying to preserver their "White Heritage" also?
It's to protect their homogeniality. Our homogeniality, or what's left of it, is white. I never said Trump is the only racist in the world. He's our racist. We can't solve world racism without fixing our own first.
I just wonder what their rules of engagement will be. Border Patrol are trained in restraint, the military soldiers are trained there are friends and targets and not much in between.
Rules of engagement will be strict and effective. Just like the Marines guarding the U.S. embassies abroad. Have we EVER heard embassy guards and snipers working in the embassies accidentally shot civilians to death? (embassy guards being the keywords here) They follow strict rules of engagement. Warning shots first! They (military) are trained to follow order, unless the shot is authorized, they don't shoot civilians for fun. *only the anti military morons on this board would believe they are some kind of killing machines with no moral.*
I think using military is actually safer for the civilian illegals.
This said, 18 US Code 1385 forbids the use of federal troops to enforce domestic laws except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress. So the military could only be used if the US were facing an actual military invasion, not a steady trickle of individuals violating immigration law.
Barring that actual military invasion, border security is the responsibility of DHS.
That’s why the National Guard has been used so often in local troubles: they are managed by the states and are not subject to the posse comitatus limitations.
Even though I think using the troops to secure the board would be an excellent option (better than the wall in my opinion), I do wonder if President Trump can get it done. (legal stuff, congress approval, etc)
