I can't imagine you even know much about the details of that crisis based upon your posts so far.
Consider that Kennedy aggressively intercepted Russian ships, harassed their subs and slapped a naval blockade on Cuba not even knowing they already had the weapons installed and ready to go.
This after putting our own nukes right on the Russian border, which we then withdrew in exchange for the removal from Cuba.
Maybe get a book on the topic, like a real history book....ok just kidding...we know that's not happening. How about a decent podcast from someone like Dan Carlin (Hardcore History). He's fair.
One persons naive "cool heads" is another persons "reaction to nuclear provocation" that almost got out of hand.
P.S. Kennedy appeared weak to Kruschev when they first met so the Cuban stuff was him trying to bully Kennedy. I think Kennedy did a great job with the crisis but admits in his own comments that he pretty much fumbled early which helped set the stage.
I think Trump would rise to the occasion and avert nuclear attack but the Left and their media is a different story.
They would be telling of our doom and calling Trump a fool that is going to get us all killed. They would be trying to impeach and invoke the 28th amendment while undermining the good that he is doing to save us.
Lets hope we never have to find out how Trump would act and how poorly the Left would react.

I dont care who the president is, I dont trust professional liars to do anything unless it ensures they remain in power, will further their personal wealth, and will make their family and cronies wealthy.
There probably will be some nuclear exchanges as the entire world fights for shrinking resources. If all the missiles stay grounded, we still have a bunch of power plants producing waste that will inevitably contaminate some regions. There is no safe way to store nuclear waste for the next 250,000 years.
