In defense of American foreign policy if we don't meddle in elections/throw our weight around in general how else are we going to prop up future "threats" to the country (Saddam, Bin Laden, Noriega) so that we can justify massive defense spending and future attacks?

To borrow my quote from the tree cutting thread...

So uhm, I guess what we could do is keep doing what we have done forever...do our own meddling as payback?
I agree and our leaders are doing just that. Marcy Kaptur of Ohio with 22 democratic party co sponsors are asking the Trump administration for 750,000 to start a free press because the media in Hungary is too gvt friendly. I posted that article last week and heard not a peep from anyone in the forum.

I am also sick of the claims that the Russians and Putin are trying to divide us into 2 warring groups and that could be true. But democracy in itself pits one group of people against another group of people, why is there 2 major parties only? is it not the job of the party to gain control of the gvt? to stop that other evil party from taking or holding power?

Putin or any other leader do not have to lift a finger to divide Americans democracy does a fine job of it on it's own. But democracy is like a religion and for the easy way out and most dishonest is too blame Russia and other countries for the divide and failures. The U S does it the world over, other countries do it to the U S, it is democracy grow up and get over it.

and many more links. Our intelligence services tell us this is true, and despite president Trumps statements like this:

Its clear now that Russia is thinking his comments are meaningless and can be safely ignored.
Our own elected Democrats are doing more damage to the public’s confidence in our election process than the Russian social media trolls, and Macedonian content farmers could ever dream of doing. So what do we do about them?

What a bunch of malarky.

Democrats are not purging voter roles, gerrymandering districts to unconstitutional levels, closing/limiting polling stations in certain communities, ...

Nor is the Republican President lying through his teeth a dozen times a day, making false accusations about voting fraud, ....

What, an allegation is not good enough? For Ford, her allegation seemed to be just fine for some people to be convinced the event happened.

How should we deal with Russian actions?

My suggestion: The Resistanceā„¢ should continue to obsess over it until at least 2032... possibly 2036!

The indictments lay it out pretty clearly, but you apparently are unable to read them? Jesus wept folks.

Better catch up on the news, maybe a good time to tune into FOX so you don't come across as grossly uninformed.
The irony of this kills me.

Literally READ the indictments. Both the earlier ones, and the latest, its all laid out for folks.

Maybe if you READ something, or looked into the facts instead of watching fox news you wouldnt be so grossly misinformed.
