No, they didn't grow up American you have to have citizenship papers for that and those papers are very important. Besides, they learned the culture and language of their homelands from their parents. Most of them came here after the age of 6 they weren't babes in arms.
Why should they benefit from their parent's law breaking? It would also be rewarding their parents for bringing them here illegally. They need to go back home with their parents and apply to come back legally while waiting their turn in line. The process doesn't begin on our soil and it isn't fair to immigrants that came here the right way. We don't need these people competing for jobs and resources against Americans either.
Well maybe they are more qualified. Besides, I thought we had low unemployment now. For many dreamers this is the only country they've even know and they consider themselves Americans. Why blame them for what their parents did.

Spite. And maybe jealousy at someone else working to better their lot. But likely, mostly spite fueled by self-doubt and disappointment.
