The only word I would change in your first sentence is "by". However, the country was thoroughly divided DUE TO Barack Obama. Big difference.
I am white and will be the first to acknowledge that a lot of white people in this country disliked Obama for one thing...……..he is black. Oh, they will say they are not racist, but Donald Trump gave them the freedom to start showing their true feelings. Obama could have walked on water, cured Cancer, and gave every man, woman, and child a million dollars, and these same people would find reasons to hate him.
Most people are not honest enough to admit there is an us vs them attitude in this country. We may share pleasantries with people of color, and actually seem to get along well with them, but when push comes to shove, and the truth comes out, some people feel they are not worthy of the same respect and rights that we whites have.
Barack Obama was at least able to get through 8 long years with about 1/1,000,000,000th of the turmoil and problems that Donald Trump has created in only 2 short years. But, as we see from the Trumpees, Trump is simply wonderful and Obama was the cause of all the problems we have today.

I got this info watching the reporter Adam Housley state that his sources in the FBI think the devices were built to not work.
