Ummm..the rally is open to ALL Americans. Do you even understand what the rallies are about? UNITY! I am not sure where that "level of hate" crap comes from..the rallies, if you ever bothered to watch or attend one is lotsa fun
I just watched the rally from Friday where Trump blames the media for the level of hate ...and then crowd turns and boos and yells and starts screaming at the journalists. Trump said nothing to 'tone it down' -- he ramped them up,.
I saw it myself -- I didn't read it in the media, or listen to someone's analysis -- I saw it.
In a week where various devices (either meant to go off, meant to send a message or not) were sent -- one to a media outlet.......he didn't even try to suggest that booing, jeering, snarling at the press wasn't the right response.....his rhetoric incited a CROWD of people gathered to react.
I don't blame JUST Trump. It's a combination of factors that have created this violent divide in this country.
I don't blame the right or left.
But President Trump is our leader now and needs to live the words he puts out there.
And he doesn't.
He is happy to create that kind of rambunctious crowd at his rally. For him it is a successful rally.
I don't believe many here -- right or left are the kind to actually participate in violence but I've read some pretty hateful things from both sides.
Even as the discussion is about hate -- name calling, baseless insults are hurled.

Ok, I'll bite. There is no question that the atmosphere in this country right now is different than it has been in any time I can remember in my 73 years. We have always had our political back and forth discussions, but NEVER has it been as contentious as it is today, and both sides are knee deep in the mud.
Trumpees can put all the lipstick on Donald Trump they like, but the reality (that only someone who doesn't want to see the truth would miss) is that he has divided this country in only a few years. We no longer just discuss the political situation, we are fervent about it, and we are at each others throats.
Trumpees will say it all started with Obama, and, for them, it probably did. Our dirty little secret in America is that a Yuge part of our population is still racist. The primary reason a lot of people were not willing to give Obama credit or a chance is because how dare a black man think he is good enough to run this country? Oh, they will lie and say they are not racist, but, being a white man, I see how some of my fellow whites think.
I also think that the Russians are heavily involved in the division of America. They are very good at these games, and are still trying to influence our elections. They know that if they can pit one American against another, it will weaken us and they won't have to fire a single shot. I suspect we have a few Russian agents on here, from some of the very obvious threads they keep posting over and over again.
The next person who occupies the seat in the WH is going to have a very hard time bringing civility, decency, class, and dignity back to that position. I hope we all learned a lesson on how fast our country can be destroyed if the wrong person is elected.

Democrats are never, ever for peace. The used cars they try to sell are nothing more than lemons. All they lust after is power, and when they don't get it and don't have it, they destroy. It's all they have now. The violent, vitriolic rhetoric of the left in recent years (and specifically, within the last two years) is going to backfire on them.
Let the leftists sit there in their cocoons while they blame Republicans and conservatives (who have done nothing wrong) for everything they feel is going wrong in their lives. They've got no solutions. You sow what you reap.

While Republicans are the ones that are hateful and divisive?
They are calling for peace on their own terms. Their is no war, so no peace in terms of the victor. We must be civil and approach with one another. Find a way for reconciliation. Also as a whole. Someone must sit down with Feminists, Social Justice Warrior groups, Pro Black Groups, White Nationalist and the Alt-Right and ask them. What is it that you guys want? Its these 5 groups that are causing great division in our country which is now leading to violence.
