I never quite got the infamy of the Willie Horton ads just like I as the son of LEGAL immigrants of color completely agree with Trump's new ad about the illegal alien caravan. I only think that ad should have gone even further and mentioned how DACA recipients have taken jobs and college spots from American citizens.

The Willie Horton ads were simply to draw attention to Dukakis's liberal soft on crime policies. He was one criminal who committed murder after being released. And he happened to be black. If they were able to find a white killer equally infamous, would that ad still be controversial?

And this election comes down to are we going to put our own nation and our own citizens first, or are we going to put foreign nationals and foreign interests first especailly with the illegal aliens and with unfair trade agreements that Trump is renegotiating so America is being taken advantage of less.

All governors grant amnesty, both from the left and right. Willie Horton was much overplayed as is the case with the caravan. These are nothing but distractions from issues of substance like our involvement in wars overseas, the economy, campaign finance reform and healthcare.

If the question is whether Whitey Bulger on that ad would have worked, the answer is no.
It wouldn't have been done. It wouldn't have worked. So asking whether someone would approve of it seems silly.
