Within the last two weeks:

* Hillary Clinton said that "they all look alike", when discussing two African-American men.
* Indiana Sen. Donnelly said that he has staff members who are people of color, BUT they do a good job.
* Florida Gov. candidate Gillum's staff member said that Florida is a "cracker" state.

All 3 remarks are clearly racist.

Why are Democrats silent about them? If Republicans said those things, Democrats would (rightfully) flip out.

Considering the first citation was a lame attempt of a joke, so is the original supposition of the post.

Did you say the same thing to defend Roseanne Barr?

Because they can use them for political gain unless they are running against them. If Hillary runs again, some of them will possibly care.

It's still a racist remark and a Republican would be skewered in the press for making a statement like that.

OK - so why is it OK for Democrats to even joke about it but Republicans are raked over the coals? Many of my democratic friends say things like this all the time and I think "Really?" - they'd be in a Republicans face if a joke like that were made.

Why do people on CD find the worst thing they can find, committed by a single individual, then try to categorize an entire segment of the population with the same negative deed?

This. The people that post this crap want to foment distrust, and keep the partisan ROT alive. POC is their personal 'whine tasting' spot.

Even many slaves supported their masters. Same with the Stockholm Syndrome.

Why has the been a complete media blackout about Jimmies Fallon and Kimmel wearing blackface? Not saying it was ok when they were kids, but actually wearing to get some laughs!

Why isn't Al Roker calling them out?
