Imposing military law and suspending habeas corpus and due process is what totalitarian fascist and indeed communist states.

The US managed to navigate around habeas corpus in relation to Guantamo Bay as did Britain during internment in NI in the 70's but it's generally not something most people would welcome as it involves the suspension of important parts of the US Constitution and a principal at the heart of the legal system.

Liberals will riot regardless of the election, if they lose a single seat somewhere they will riot, if they don't gain the House and Senate there will be endless wailing and screaming at the sky - AGAIN, fires set, businesses destroyed. Fortunately they're stupid enough to do it in their own neighborhoods, so more power to them.

yep, lol

Trump should simply use the Bully Pulpit (make speeches, write opinions, and nowadays tweet a lot) to point out what the Democrats are doing: Rioting and destroying because they didn't get their way, like frustrated 3rd grade schoolyard bullies who hate their classmates and can't handle obeying the will of the people.

And he should name names. Mayor Such-and-such of this city let the rioters burn these four streets in his city, the police commissioner Smith of that city did not send his officers in to protect the lives and property of the following neighborhoods in that city, the Governor of this other state doubled down on his declaration that his state is a Sanctuary State, and here's a list of people killed and injured in those cities by the Democrat rioters, and there has been $nnn million in damage to property since Election Day, etc. etc. And in conclusion, ask people if they support what the rioters, mayors, governors etc. have done in reaction to being losers... and ask them to call, write, and cable their city and state officials to demand justice.

President Trump should simply call on the people running the cities and states, to do their jobs and enforce the laws strictly and fairly; and encourage normal Americans to call on them to do it too.

And KEEP doing it until peace is restored and the thugs, rioters, and people who didn't do their jobs are brought to justice by the people of their own states and cities.
You should be embarrassed to write such nonsense. Honestly, do you WANT something like that to happen? The above post reads like the rantings of someone with a vindictive streak who relishes the thought of widespread rioting and martial law.

Americans value their constitution and bill of rghts, and brining in martial law would meaning surpressing the constitution and the rights of US Citizens.

It also begs the question as to what Military Law would entail and how much of the constitution should be supressed.

Would those advocating Martial Law be happy for instance if their right to bear arms was somehow curtailed or their freedom of speech.

Start denying rights and disregarding the constitution and you are on a slippery slope, as these are the very foundations of the US and what she stands for as a nation.

One for the History books. Hillary, L.O.S.T, with 3 million more votes then the current "selected," president and commander in chief. Of course trump had help from his friends.....Russia and Comey. The electoral system was probably hacked.

If I have TDS, it is because the dude is verifiably nuts. I am sick of his bigotry and berating of anyone who does not agree with him. Talk about a piece of garbage.

I hope the right extremism in our country does not riot and kill if there are losses to their "party."

We need to start acting like human beings that care about our fellow Americans. Give it a rest.

Agreed, but if you think this is a one sided battle, your not paying attention!

Trump would love nothing more than to declare Martial Law so he can emulate Putin.. Some of these same poor whites that would advocate this kind of craziness, should look back at their own history, they will find a linage of "destitution spanning 100's of years, all at the craftiness of the wealthy to ensure they remain destitute and poor, and submit to being disposable cheap labor.

There really is limited hope for these types to suddenly open their eyes or gain educated awareness. It just can't be brought upon them like waving a magic wand. If after 100's of years they have not figured it out, they won't figure it out in 2 days.

I guess the point of "willful ignorance" has to be re-explained.... because it certainly starts from a lack of educated information and it spirals downwards from there. There is no such thing as an "instant knowledge drink", or a education pill.... so... such education and knowledge won't be gained overnight, and certainly not within two days.

Anyone wishing for such chaos... does not belong in America.!!!!!! and it clearly tells of what level of "willful ignorance" we are dealing with.

You're right, conservatives don't riot. They just send pipe bombs and shoot up churches and synagogues. Oh, and yoga studios.
