Have you ever moved primarily to find a place more politically acceptable to you?

No, although if I lived in Portland I would probably have to leave the city for sanity’s sake.

No, but it did factor into which area we chose when we relocated for work. We could chose any area within a commutable distance of downtown Milwaukee. We didn't need it to be dark blue but we weren't going to willingly move to a dark red area. We're solidly blue but it wasn't the political lean that drew us here, it was the walkability, access to downtown, and great schools.

It wasn't the primary reason, but local politics did factor into our move from our former neighborhood to our current one.

I think when people say they are going to move if "X" gets elected that they are just blowing smoke. How many celebrities said they would move if Trump was elected and how many actually did? Cher said she was going to Jupiter.

I'm sure there are cases where people have moved but in most instances people don't.

I do know one person that did leave the country and she said it was due to the ever growing racist nature of America and Trump but I think it was due to economic reasons. The funny thing is she was such a whacko we don't miss her.

I do know several people that retired and moved to Florida due the positive economic nature and nice weather BUT given this past election where the Dems came close to winning the tax shelters that many take advantage of may be a thing of the past come the next elections.

I cant imagine anyone making a move solely based on this. Unless, that person is at the extreme end of the spectrum when it comes to their political beliefs. Ive found most Americans (wherever they live) are respectful despite their political differences. Its only here on the internet you have wack jobs, and thats on both sides, LOl.

Only if it came to the point that my finances were significantly affected by the politics. I'm a conservative and can live anywhere and play libertarian for survival. As long as the check clears.
