"Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's" doesn't mean that Ceasar gets to decide what is Ceasar's and what it mine.
He literally applied for and accepted an entitlement, and now is bragging about voting for a party because he doesn't like paying for entitlements. That is what is hypocritical.

Exactly. They just cannot accept that this type of behavior is why so many undeclared & indie voters cast their ballots for the right.

Thank you for voting.

Do you have a copy of your social contract? I seem to have misplaced mine.

In fact, I don't ever remember even seeing one in person.

Obama doubled it...added $10 trillion
Trump has added $85 billion per month to the debt. If he serves 8 years he will have added $8 trillion.

DOH!

Yes it is. All taxation is theft.

There is no amount of taxation that is necessary, as there is no legitimate function of government.

As for your critique of the welfare state, I am absolutely not opposed to it. I think you need to get a life if you really went that far in my post history to try to criticize me. I was literally on food stamps as a starving college student for less than a semester. As an attorney on a higher than average salary, I'll be paying way more into the system throughout my lifetime than I'll ever get back so I'm not sure what point you are trying to make by bringing up the fact that I used a social service temporarily.
He was making the point that you're a hypocrite and a purveyor of the "I got mine" mentality that pervades Republican politics.

I became an attorney and started paying a great deal in taxes while you were still in school. So, in a way, I was bankrolling you when you were just a leech. Nobody polled me about whether I cared that you needed "food stamps as a starving college student." But for the record, I don't mind paying more in taxes when they go primarily to those less fortunate. A lot of other people think like me, which is why welfare programs still exist for people like you.

So you got those food stamps, you made it through the dark times with taxpayer handouts, and now you're a successful attorney. Congratulations. Now that you've crossed the bridge, you want to burn it for anyone else who might want to follow in your footsteps. That makes you a bad person, and you deserve to be called out for it.
