Thank you. Can't rep you again. I would bet you want to tell what I really think though. Thanks for not!

Half (slightly more in fact) of us do want it. That negates you first sentence outright.

Positive agenda of trying to help people who need it including business. When the standard of life of the lowest among us is raised, everyone's is raised.

The majority of us DO NOT want open borders and recognize what a catastrophe that would be.

Climate change being dealt with as best we can, not ignoring good scientists when they tell us something we don't want to hear. We don't want to have to do expensive changes, why would we? We just recognize that it's no longer a choice.

Higher short term, free or close to it long term. Research on energy to get us there.

Higher taxes on the richest of us, like in the 50's so we can have a strong middle class again.

Regulations where needed. We recognize that capitalism results in companies looking out for their own best interest even if it's counter to the public's at times. Just the way it is and better than any other option.

You guys spending like drunken sailors and you have the gall to say this? We certainly want to spend it on different stuff. Things that help people who need it, not tax breaks for the uber wealthy.

Trump is bad. So what if we don't like him? Did you think we would? Do you ever like ours? He is particularly offensive to me, I have to admit. Big city arrogant loudmouths have never been my thing.
You sound center-left. Many of those in the news are unhinged-left, beating up Trump loving geezers and smashing store windows. Loonies get clicks, people like you get yawns. We need more yawns.

I am indeed. And I truly believe that most republicans are in fact center-right. Most of the ones I know personally are. But you all's news is just as skewed and unhinged in the opposite direction as the worst of ours. It's a sad thing when there are two versions of everything that happens floating around out there and neither represents what actually did happen.

It's not an accident that it's this way. They're not at all interested in us agreeing on anything. Capitalism and the free market rearing it's head again. Only that one we can't correct with regulation. I hope one day we all realize just how similar we are on so many things and how the big differences we have can mostly be worked out with some compromise.

I think they are shooting themselves in the foot if they go this route. Two years later, and they will have nothing to run on except saying we trying to get Trump out of office. People may have fell for their bull crap of caring about America this time, but Trump will easily win 2020 if they waste two years just fighting him and not giving a rip about America.

It is true that the Senate Republicans may continue to advise and consent to President Trump's nominees for the Federal bench.

However, it is not like the House Democrats, come January 3rd, lack any leverage. As all know, spending bills must originate in the House of Representatives. Does Mr. Trump desire money for various projects, like the Wall?

Well, the House Democrats may well say: nominate individuals that will be consented to by both parties, and you may have your money.

It has been done before.
