He said it would cost $12 billion and said Mexico would pay for it.
DHS said it would cost $21.6 billion.
The Republican controlled Congress passed a $1.3 trillion spending bill that ignored many of Trump’s priorities.
How many does times does it have to be reiterated in here that Trump never said that Mexico would pay up front with a check before you people stop repeating this over and over?
Please post a link where Trump said it would only cost $12 billion. All I have ever heard him say is that it will cost $25 billion.
Of course the RINO's in congress ignore Trump's requests. Is that a surprise to you? Without them obstructing everything he wants to do along with most all Democrats in congress it would have been built long ago even before Trump took office.
in light of the caravan thing, mexico is paying to be our wall... regardless of how many make it to the US, mexico is taking the brunt of the caravan right now. when the US denies entry, mexico will be left footing this particular cost. a few more caravans like this, and mexico will want their own wall on their south border
venezuela isnt going to make this easier for south america for the near future and then mexico will be getting the overflow
Once gain!!!! Trump never said that Mexico would write a check for it. Geezus! Why is it a big deal to you and yours anyway since I have posted several links proving that the good walls work and are cost effective compared to what illegal immigration costs us? I just don't get it! Where are your priorities on reducing our taxes and national security?
You're not going to see anything from the Democrats except obstruction, subpoenas, investigations and grandstanding
I mean, the Democrats have already been accused of all of that when they had NO control and the Republicans were in charge of everything and still didn't manage to repeal the ACA or build the wall (and get Mexico to pay for it, to boot!), so what will change? Nothing. Lots of blaming "the other guy" for the inability to keep campaign promises. What else is new?
There are many ways to get Mexico to pay for the Wall without a direct payment. Tariffs for one. Energy policy is another. We can squeeze Mexico anytime we want. Anyway, I'd rather we have a Virtual Wall that works over a Physical Wall that doesn't, and only acts as a symbol.

Tariffs. Honestly there are not enough emojis to cover that remark. YOU PAY FOR TARIFFS IN HIGHER PRICES FOR IMPORTED GOODS. AMERICAN MANUFACTURERS AND FARMERS PAY FOR TARIFFS IN REDUCED EXPORTS. Altogether now: tariffs are taxes!
Anyway, I would not rule out a wall (more fencing to be more exact). This was part of the deal that Trump offered and reneged on back last year. It is also part of the Immigration bill that passed the senate but Ryan refused to vote on. Never say never. Politics makes strange bedfellows they say
Same thing that would have happened had the GOP kept the House - nothing. It's political theater and nothing else. It was never going to be built, no matter who ran the House, Senate an White House.
Only thing that changes is how it gets talked about.

It depends how you use them, and the threat of them to NEGOTIATE. It is called leverage. Think about it.

We tried the virtual walls and they were abandoned because there were too many gliches in it. A good physical wall is much more intimidating and helps the Border Patrol do their jobs more effectively. Have you not read all the links I've provided how well the good double walls do work? They aren't just symbols either.
