Bottom line: IF Jim Acosta didn't have such a huge ego and a big mouth, he would have given over the mike, shut up and sat down. He has NO class whatsoever, and should be fired at the very least for causing a scene and disrespecting the office of the President, regardless whether he likes the man or not.
Period
Funny...he has no class. This is where you decide class matters? With the reporter only? Unreal. Period.
I have voted Republican most of my life. Unfortunately, because of trump and the blanket support of him by most Republicans (even when they don't agree with him on things such as global trade), I may never be able to vote Republican again (there are a lot of us out there.) The things the Republicans have stood for have gone away, thanks to trump. Ronald Reagan would be horrified at what trump has done to the Republican party. My guess is trump stands a good chance of losing the Republican nomination in 2020.
Well said, and if the Republican party no longer reflects you values, you can #walkaway.
Backtracking their claim that Acosta struck someone else... Now they are claiming his press pass was revoked for refusing to yield the mic after asking 2 questions and that they revoked it to act as a "check" against the monopolization of the press conference by one reporter.
Just a reminder that Sarah Sanders tweeted out that the president answered 68 questions from 35 reporters at that presser.

Honestly, if you're going to be a big time reporter somewhere, you pretty much need a big mouth and ego to stand in front of mikes and talk. It's not a job for the timid.

I SAID, "the office of the President". Acosta IS the subject of this thread and has never shown any class in the WH press room, or to Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Most people call his type of person an ignorant big mouth.
The most hilarious part of this whole story is not only that CNN is suing the administration over it, but they're still pushing that the video of the event was "altered" when anyone who can see saw that the intern grabbed the mic and Acosta pushed her away.
Then they zoomed in and slowed it down and claimed it was "fake altered news". lol.

CNN doesn't have a pass; hard passes are reporter-specific. The case law clearly supports the Plaintiffs' position, so I suspect your claim that this is a mere "nuisance" lawsuit will almost certainly be proved untrue. The Appellate case law is clear on this point. I'm sorry for your ignorance on this topic - maybe read the Sherrill case and become informed.
Good, if they prevail then we can take it to SCOTUS and get the DC Circuit's ruling blown out of the water. The courts have no business dictating how the executive branch conducts it's press conferences.

You do realize that SCOTUS only grants certiorari in about 2% of cases right? Somewhere between 100-150 cases a year? Your response in every thread when someone shows you that your position contradicts the law seems to be "Oh yea? Well they'll take it to the Supreme Court" but that doesn't reflect reality because the Supreme Court takes very few cases.

Maybe they won't take and maybe they will take it. The point is that DC Circuit is not the highest court in the land and they don't have the final say. The DC just made up **** that has no basis in the Constitution. No person has a constitutional right to attend an invitation-only event in a controlled access location. No one's freedom of speech has been abridged. There are tens of thousands of reporters who never have and never will attend a WH press conference.
Btw, a strict interpretation of the Consititution does not restrict the President. "Congress shall make no law". Congress is restricted, nothing at all about what the executive and judicial branches can do. And rules on White House press conferences are not laws.
Btw, how comes gag orders by judges are not a blatant violation of one's freedom of speech? The amendment says free speech is not to be abridged. I didn't see "except when a judge thinks it is ok to do so".
