Wars have been going on since the beginning of my time for sure.

It used to be called battle fatigue. I first encountered it in the early 70s, when I worked in a nursing home and we had a Korean War vet who endlessly relived several battles he was in.

The number of WWII vets who came back to live as alcoholics and domestic abusers was not zero. Although it’s true that mass shootings were rare.

Shell shocked or battle fatigue

Plus now we have the crazy media that will give you infamy and immortalize you with reports, wiki pages, media articles, manifestos, etc.

So now every nutjob knows exactly what it takes to get the attention they want, sadly.
