Logic would certainly say it does not carry over especially when one approval was for a low level attorney in a remote federal office fourteen years ago. Trump can assert that it does, I guess, but then he must also recognize that Mueller has received senate review and at a very high level of attention. That he failed to note that means he is misinformed at the least. Furthermore, Mueller's duties as SC do not require senate confirmation while acting attorney general would.
